The O'Neal School Falcons will head out to square off against the Village Christian Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Village Christian Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on The O'Neal School, who comes in off a win.
The O'Neal School is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over Northwood Temple Academy. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Parker Maxwell made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of The O'Neal School's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 2-8-1 when he doesn't). Maxwell was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Max Pashley was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The O'Neal School is 4-0-1 when Pashley posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Kaiden Taveras was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
The O'Neal School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Village Christian Academy fell victim to Freedom Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Patriots. Considering the last time the Knights couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Village Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Zeisset, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Zeisset's first of the season.
The O'Neal School's record is now 6-8-1. As for Village Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. The O'Neal School has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Village Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
The O'Neal School couldn't quite finish off Village Christian Academy when the teams last played last Tuesday and fell 9-7. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
