The Hayfork Timberjacks are taking a road trip to  take on the Tulelake Honkers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hayfork knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Tulelake likes a good challenge.
Hayfork's defense heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  66-0 win over Plumas Charter. Give the Timberjacks' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Meanwhile,  after only eight  points in their last  matchup, Tulelake made sure to put some  points up on the board against Chester  on Friday. The Honkers claimed a resounding  54-20 victory over the Volcanoes. The  win continues a trend for the Honkers in their matchups with the Volcanoes: they've now won seven in a row.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Max Robison and  Zeke Perez. Robison rushed for 218 yards and three  TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per carry while  Perez rushed for 134 yards and three  scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Perez also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles.
 Tulelake didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Chester to a completion percentage of just 42.3%. The team can thank  Dathan Kilano for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Tulelake; they were averaging 60.5%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 0%.
 Tulelake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Kilano and  Geovanni Alvaraez. Tulelake received some extra help from  Perez, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
 Hayfork's record is now 9-0. As for Tulelake, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Hayfork strolled past Tulelake in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024 by a score of  28-14. Will the Timberjacks repeat their success,  or do  the Honkers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
