Everything went their way against the Jackson Generals on Wednesday as the Miami Beach Hi-Tides made off with a 19-2 win. Considering the Hi-Tides have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Maricela Mesarina was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Miami Beach got a massive performance out of Violet Badran, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most RBI Badran has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Baldi, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
