Moody came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pleasant Grove Spartans by a score of 12-8. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cole Self was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Self was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Bryant Hardin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Braden Wright was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Moody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Grove struck out eight times.

Moody's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Pleasant Grove, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moody will head out to take on Clay-Chalkville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will take on Tarrant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
