The Campbellsville Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bullitt Central Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Campbellsville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played North Hardin, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. Campbellsville was the clear victor by an 11-2 margin over North Hardin on Friday. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Reece Swafford spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Kade Somerville was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Carson Mills also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bullitt Central took on Henry County on Friday. Bullitt Central's pitchers stepped up to hand Henry County a 12-0 shutout. Give the Cougars' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Collin Waltrip looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Bullitt Central let Cole Halbrook and Logan Leber run wild. Halbrook scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Leber scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Leber is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Jordan Powell was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Bullitt Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .538 or higher in three consecutive games.
Bullitt Central pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Campbellsville, their record is now 4-0.
Everything went Campbellsville's way against Bullitt Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Campbellsville made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbellsville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
