Softball Recap: Menlo-Atherton's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Menlo-Atherton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Half Moon Bay Cougars 11-4. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Gracy Nava made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Nava was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Kylie Cox was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Aliyah Calvillo-Figueroa also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Menlo-Atherton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Menlo-Atherton's record now sits at 13-6. As for Half Moon Bay, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
