After two games on the road, McLean is heading back home. They will take on The Miami Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, McLean didn't have too much trouble with White Deer on the road as they won 32-15. The victory was just what McLean needed coming off of a 50-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
Jack Magee was on fire: he rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Steward, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Miami put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 36-30 W over Follett.
Haiden Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 119 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thompson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Wheeler, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
McLean has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Miami, their victory was their eighth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: McLean has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 201.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Miami struggles in that department as they've been averaging 172.6 per game. It's looking like Friday's match might have some serious battles in the trenches.
McLean couldn't quite finish off Miami in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 40-38. Will McLean have more luck at home instead of on the road?
