After losing to the Fort Morgan Mustangs the last time they met, The Academy Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Academy skirted past Fort Morgan 54-51.
Trey Boychuk was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of The Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Massler, who scored 15 points.
The Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fort Morgan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
The Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Eaton. As for Fort Morgan, they will face off against Fort Lupton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
