The Aquinas Fightin' Irish's's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against St. Vincent's by a score of 41-32. For Aquinas, this counts as revenge for the 24-22 defeat St. Vincent's walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aquinas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Kate White, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Kate Noegel, who scored 10 points.
Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Vincent's, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Aquinas will look to defend their home court on Monday against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 6:00 p.m. Westminster Schools of Augusta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aquinas in Georgia (Westminster Schools of Augusta is ranked 23rd, while Aquinas is ranked 230th). As for St. Vincent's, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilton Head Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilton Head Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
