The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pearsall in their matchups with Floresville: they've now lost four in a row.
Floresville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordin Johns out in front who scored 13 points along with five steals and two blocks. Johns has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Chloe Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Pearsall has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Floresville, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Uvalde the next time they take the court. Pearsall will head out to face Uvalde at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Floresville will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
