Baseball Recap: Raritan Wins Going Away Against St. John-Vianney

Raritan's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the St. John-Vianney Lancers with a sharp 11-4 win. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Alan Warren and Travis Evernham did most of the damage at the plate: Warren went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Evernham went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits Warren has posted since back in May of 2024. Antonio Lamberti was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Raritan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Raritan's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for St. John-Vianney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Raritan will be taking part in a tournament against Christian Brothers Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John-Vianney will be paying especially close attention to the Rockets' game: after the Rockets face off against the Colts, they'll take on St. John-Vianney again at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
