It was a good run, but the Asheville Christian Academy Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-32 loss at the hands of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee. Asheville Christian Academy has not had much luck with Rabun Gap-Nacoochee recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Ansley Fuchs and Sara Larios certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fuchs scored 15 points, while Larios scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. Larios has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.
Asheville Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.
Asheville Christian Academy will take on Forsyth Home Educators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Asheville School (Independent) at 5:15 p.m. on February 7th. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
