Westminster Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Boca Raton Christian since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will challenge the Blazers at 3:30 p.m. Westminster Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Westminster Academy duked it out with Pembroke Pines Charter on Wednesday. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 3-2.
Ava Salvino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dianna Montidoro was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Boca Raton Christian walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Knights on Monday. The Blazers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13, 2024 (when they won 24-8).
Boca Raton Christian got a massive performance out of Beatriz Soares, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Jessica Fijol was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Boca Raton Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Boca Raton Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Westminster Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
Westminster Academy took their win against Boca Raton Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
