Football Recap: Nordhoff Skates Past Santa Clara with Ease

While Nordhoff put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Santa Clara. The Rangers claimed a resounding 63-0 victory over the Saints. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won five games by 34 points or more so far this season.

Nordhoff's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Desi Canfield led the charge by picking up 39 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a pair of TDs on the ground. Isaiah Giesea also helped out with an impressive 120 receiving yards.

Nordhoff didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josh Dominguez and Bret Winters. Nordhoff received some extra help from Pablo Ponce, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Nordhoff pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.3 points on average over those games. As for Santa Clara, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
