After flying high against Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday, Scotus came back down to earth. The Shamrocks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Thursday.
Scotus started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-11, 25-20, 25-13.
Mya Langan paced Scotus' offense, picking up ten kills. Langan got some help from Bella Hutchinson and her 25 assists.
Madison Wiese had an outrageously good game for Bishop Neumann as she had 19 digs and four assists.
Scotus' loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Bishop Neumann, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
