The Clever Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season. They really took it to Spokane for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-30 victory on the road. The win was just what Clever needed coming off of a 68-39 defeat in their prior game.
Clever's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ireland Jones led the charge by scoring 21 points along with six assists and five steals. The contest was Jones' 13th in a row with at least ten points. Jayleign Flood was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Clever's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Spokane, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.
Clever will take on Logan-Rogersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spokane, they will head out on the road to face off against New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
