Juniata Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.
Juniata Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Mattas, who scored 35 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mattas has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Connor Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.
Juniata Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juniata Valley will face off against Curwensville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Greenwood will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
