Baseball Recap: Franklin's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Franklin won the last time they faced Kenosha Bradford and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sabers blew past the Red Devils 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Sabers, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brody Charles looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dominick Walters was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last nine matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin O'Brien, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Franklin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kenosha Bradford only posted an OBP of .353.

The win (which was Franklin's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Kenosha Bradford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Franklin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
