 Meanwhile, Plainview hadn't done well against Humphrey-Lindsay recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Plainview walked away with  a   54-45  win over Humphrey-Lindsay.
 Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Elkhorn Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
 Elkhorn Valley was able to grind out a solid  win over Plainview when the teams last played  back in December of 2024, winning  53-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elkhorn Valley since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
