6A District 4 recap October 22, 2013
Bartram Trail moved up to 157 from 183 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A District 4. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of besting Creekside 47-12.
Bartram Trail led the league in scoring this week by notching 47 points on the Knights. PJ Blazejowski threw for 169 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 94 yards during the win.
Darrell Sutherland's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Blazejowski chipped in 94 yards. Kasey Hagan helped Bartram Trail's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 40 yards.
Blazejowski was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate David Coleman added to the ground attack by rushing for 83 yards.
Bartram Trail's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Blazejowski has thrown for 1,053 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Romello Bentley has 27 catches for 340 yards.
A big matchup in 6A District 4 this week will be when Creekside takes on St. Augustine. Greg Stanton's team is in third place, while the Yellowjackets are in first place.
The Bears made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,393 from 2,995. The advance stemmed from a 47-12 victory over the Knights last week.
