Football Recap: Mart Skates Past Frost with Ease

Mart waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Frost Polar Bears, posting a 42-7 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ah'Maad Scott, who rushed for 193 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Scott has posted since back in November of 2024. Carmelo Medlock was another key rusher, rushing for 126 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mart was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 495 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Mart now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Frost, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Mart will host Goldthwaite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Frost, they will head out on the road to square off against Bremond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
