Basketball Recap: Grayslake Central's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After a string of four wins, Grayslake Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Forest Academy Caxys. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Caxys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Grayslake Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Lake Forest Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Grayslake Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Antioch at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Grayslake Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Antioch likes a good challenge. Lake Forest Academy will take on Deerfield in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
