The Hornets didn't even let the Rams on the board, marking the Hornets' second-straight 17-0 shutout. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hayden Wendling and Zane Rumisek did most of the damage at the plate: Wendling scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Rumisek scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Wendling a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Judd, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
New Lothrop always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montrose only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Goodrich waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Give the Martians' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Thomas Niles made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Niles was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cross Darby was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brady Bazsler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
New Lothrop's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Goodrich, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. New Lothrop has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. However, it's not like Goodrich struggles in that department as they've averaged .517. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
