The Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-8 loss at the hands of Desert Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sequoia Pathway Academy has scored all season.
Anika Mulkey was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds for Desert Christian. Another player making a difference was Addison Jones, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Sequoia Pathway Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Desert Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoia Pathway Academy will take on St. Augustine Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Christian, they will play host again and welcome The Gregory School, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
