Sayre is 9-1 against Williamson since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Sayre Redskins will be playing at home against the Williamson Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Sayre is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
Sayre took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Wyalusing Valley 68-37. With the Redskins ahead 43-22 at the half, the match was all but over already.

It was another big night for Nick Pellicano, who went 13 of 18 en route to 28 points and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Trump, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Sayre smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 19 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Williamson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Wellsboro 60-30. The Warriors were down 51-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Sayre will have to contain Jack Nolan as he made an impact in Williamson's last game. He went 7 of 16 on his way to 14 points. That was a full 46.7% of Williamson's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.
Sayre's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2. As for Williamson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sayre has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 38.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Williamson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Sayre against Williamson in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured an 80-53 victory. Will Sayre repeat their success, or does Williamson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
