The Beckman Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Beckman's strategy against Woodbridge on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Beckman blew Woodbridge out of the water with a 33-0 final score. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Beckman's 12-point performance the match before.
Beckman can attribute much of their success to Austin Shepard , who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhi Czaykowski, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian entered their tilt with Arrowhead Christian with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Capistrano Valley Christian blew past Arrowhead Christian, posting a 45-6 win on the road.
It was another big night for JP Synnott, who rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Nate Richie, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Beckman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their victory was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Beckman commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Capistrano Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 per game.
