Faith Baptist put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Immanuel Baptist as Faith Baptist made off with a 50-24 win. Faith Baptist has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Amy Ahrens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten steals. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Morgan Burton was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Faith Baptist pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Immanuel Baptist, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist will take on Rochester Hills Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rochester Hills Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 537th, while Faith Baptist is ranked 93rd). Immanuel Baptist will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th.
