C2 District 7 recap September 17, 2013
Doniphan-Trumbull's Jordan Slough rumbled for the longest rushing play in C2 District 7 this season in his game against Blue Hill last week. Slough ran for 58 yards on the play and finished with 179 on the day as his team defeated the Bobcats.
Logan Lipker and Jacob Hawley provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Wood River. The connection went for 65 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Riley Wiltfong and Slough gave Doniphan-Trumbull a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Wiltfong also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.
Wiltfong and Slough gave Brent Breckner's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.
Wiltfong put up the best numbers in passing as the Cardinals topped Blue Hill. He finished with 4 completions for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Hawley was the best wideout in the league this week as Superior fell to the Eagles. Hawley tallied 2 receptions for 72 yards. Joey Gilbert helped Superior's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 32 yards.
Slough provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Doniphan-Trumbull bested Scott Porter's team.
Slough was the best running back in C2 District 7 this week.
The Wildcats lost to Wood River 40-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lipker was a bright spot for Superior, as he threw for 104 yards in the defeat.
