Chamblee typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Lakeside proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lakeside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Mali Nyankori paced Lakeside's offense, picking up nine kills. Nyankori got some help from Ty Kleffner and her 24 assists. Kleffner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Chamblee's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Lane and Trinity Robins. Lane had eight assists and six digs, while Robins had four digs and two aces.

Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Chamblee, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-18.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Woodward Academy on the 9th. As for Chamblee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Decatur on the 9th.
