St. Edward had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-19 to make it 13. They came up short against  the Timothy Christian Trojans, falling  10-3. The Green Wave were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.

On Timothy Christian's side,  Evan Colegrove made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  Colegrove a new career-high in  strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
 In other pitching news, Timothy Christian got a great performance from  Johnny Tragos as he  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Peter Buikema was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Luke Canada, who  went 2-for-4 with four  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Looking ahead, St. Edward will square off against Bishop McNamara at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Fightin' Irish's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Green Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Timothy Christian, they will host Parkview Christian Academy  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
