Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Frederick Cadets walked away with it. They really took it to Wootton for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-0 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Frederick who now have four in a row.
Tae Anderson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Anderson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrico Morgan, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown.
Frederick has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Wootton, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Frederick will head out on the road to face off against North Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Point is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Wootton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
