The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lenape Valley, who defeated 175th ranked Kittatinny Regional, 25-0.
The Patriots scaled the state rankings by moving to 155 from 241 this week, the biggest jump in Northwest Jersey - Freedom. Lenape Valley climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Cougars 25-0.
Matt Hoberman was a passing and rushing force as Hanover Park bested Dover. He completed 12 passes for 150 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 66 yards. Hoberman's key target this week was Anthony Bassolino, who caught 3 passes for 67 yards.
Nick Grant threw for 68 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was 4-5 with 1 interception.
Grant put up the best numbers in passing as Newton topped Hackettstown.
The Hornets' Hoberman and Bassolino led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Hoberman has thrown for 626 yards this season, while Bassolino has 9 catches for 240 yards. The Braves' Ben Cramer leads the league in rushing yards with 657.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Hanover Park's Bassolino goes up against Jefferson Township's Kyle Neuschatz.
Next week's game between Gerry Moore's team and the Falcons will feature a good passing match up as Hoberman will test his arm against Neuschatz's defensive ability.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Hornets and Jefferson Township face off next week.
An important game coming up in Northwest Jersey - Freedom this week will be when Hanover Park takes on Joe Mattessich's team. At the moment, the Hornets are in fourth, while the Falcons are in third.
Newton was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to sixth in the league. Jim Rabbitt's team vanquished the Tigers 47-7 earlier in the week.
