The Jay County Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kokomo.
Despite the loss, Jay County still got an impressive performance from Bryce Wenk, who rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Kokomo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reis Beard, who rushed for 166 yards. Darrian Story Jr. and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Kokomo's win.
Jay County's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Adams Central and 9-1 Heritage (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 87.5% over those games). As for Kokomo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Jay County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kokomo will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
