Milford has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Mason Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Milford can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Fairfield as Milford made off with a 41-15 victory. Given Milford's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Fairfield is ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Milford had a senior duo take command as Nathan Webster rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry and Ashton Warther rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Warther was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Meanwhile, Mason owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They strolled past Lebanon with points to spare, taking the game 17-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mason.
Milford's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 11-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Walnut Hills and 1-9 Little Miami (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.7% over those games). As for Mason, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
