The Northampton Yellowjackets pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 84-65 fall against Snow Hill. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), Northampton still had to take the loss.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quayshawn Washington, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and five assists. Washington is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Anderson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Northampton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. As for Snow Hill, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Northampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Snow Hill, they will head out on the road to take on Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Snow Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Washington likes a good challenge.
