Mardela had to suffer through a rough 73-10 loss at the hands of Parkside. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mardela in their matchups with Parkside: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Zion Oge, who scored 24 points for Parkside. Oge is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Diamond Dixon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Mardela's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Parkside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mardela will take on Snow Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Parkside, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bennett at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. The timing isn't great for Bennett: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Parkside has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
