This season hasn't been kind to the Hunt Warriors, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nash Central. Hunt found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 18 to 8 on offense.
Hunt's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiyana Harrison, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals and 3 blocks.
Leading Nash Central to victory were Lydia Hill and JaKayla Gay. Hill scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals, while Gay dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Hill is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
The last time Hunt won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Nash Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hunt will take on Beddingfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beddingfield's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Hunt's offense will have their work cut out for Hunt. As for Nash Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against SouthWest Edgecombe at 6:00 p.m.
