Clarksville Academy faced Lincoln County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Clarksville Academy blew past Lincoln County 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Evan Leonard was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024. Floyd Dodwell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Clarksville Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. Lincoln County's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5.

Clarksville Academy has already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against St. Peter's Prep on the 28th. As for Lincoln County, they will head out to square off against Spring Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln County is facing Spring Hill at the right time seeing as Spring Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
