Dorman has gone a perfect 8-0 against Wade Hampton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Dorman will host Wade Hampton at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dorman has four straight wins, Wade Hampton has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Dorman's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Gaffney. While the Cavaliers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Makenzie Rapalee
03/24/25 @ Gaffney | 12 |
03/07/24 @ Spartanburg | 3 |
03/07/25 vs South Aiken | 2 |
04/25/24 vs Clover | 2 |
04/19/24 vs Ninety Six | 2 |
The result came thanks to Makenzie Rapalee's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Emerson McLane was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Emma Clark was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
McLane wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dorman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for Dorman: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.6.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Wade Hampton was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 25-1 to James F. Byrnes.
Wade Hampton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breleigh Betsill, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple. Sanaii Rivers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Dorman pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Wade Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dorman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Wade Hampton struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dorman took their win against Wade Hampton in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 12-5. Will Dorman repeat their success, or does Wade Hampton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
