The Stoneman Douglas Eagles will head out on the road to  take on  the Killian Cougars at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Stoneman Douglas gave their fans yet another huge  win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-1 margin over Archbishop McCarthy. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Stoneman Douglas.
  Gavin Gargiulo tossed a big game,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits (and not a single walk).
 On the hitting side,  Nick Diaz was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Rodriguez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Killian had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Coral Gables with a sharp  11-1 victory on Tuesday. The  win was just what Killian needed coming off of  a  12-2 loss in their prior  game.
 Killian also got a great performance from  Brandon Pfeiffer as he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate,  Andrew Prieto was a standout: he went 3-for-3 with a  home run.  Jonathan Acosta was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Stoneman Douglas pushed their record up to 13-3 with that  victory, which was their 20th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.6 runs per game. As for Killian, their record now sits at 4-11.
