4A SPSL - South recap Oct. 16, 2012
Federal Way extended the longest winning streak in 4A SPSL - South this week by beating Spanaway Lake, 42-13. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Eagles.
Curtis took down Auburn Riverside 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Puyallup's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brendan Illies threw for 365 and three touchdowns and Rob Howard had 143 yards receiving. On the ground Trevor Whitney chipped in 38 yards. Riley Andal helped Puyallup's passing attack out by catching three balls for 88 yards.
Puyallup's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Illies has thrown for 2052 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, while Levi Jordan has 38 catches for 611 yards. Whitney leads the league in rushing with 456 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rogers takes on the Vikings. At the moment, the Rams are in fourth, while Curtis is in third.
Graham-Kapowsin led 4A SPSL - South in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Vikings.
