2015-16 Wyoming Preseason Girls Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard
1. Campbell County (Gillette)2014-15 record: 22-4, Class 4A state champions
Head coach: Mitch Holst
It's a dynasty that just keeps coming back strong each season. Campbell County has won nine state titles in the last 15 years, including last season. The Camels, however, haven't won a state championship on an even year since 2006. Seven veteran seniors who know how to win lead the way. The team returns its Mrs. Everything,
Jessie Geer. The Utah State commit averaged 20 points, 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds per game last season.
Abby Moerkerke (6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists) and
Haley Urbatsch (9 points, 5 rebounds) are the other two returning starters.
Lauren Hallcroft (4 points, 4 rebounds) and
Kennedy Wilkerson (3 points, 2 rebounds) will have to fill in for graduated senior starters Taylor Deaton and Maddi Hinshaw, who combined for 14 points per game last year.

Head coach: Rusty Horsley
Maybe this is the year the Thunderbirds get over the hump. The last three seasons, the team has finished as the state runner-up. Cheyenne East returns a couple key pieces from last year's team:
Cosette Stellern and
Ashton Horsley. Stellern – the Wyoming Gatorade State Player of the Year for volleyball – averaged a team-high 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1.6 assists per game as a sophomore to earn all-state honors. Stellern's sister
Sierra Stellern averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds. Horsley chipped in 6.6 points and 2.9 rebounds. Juniors
Jessie Erickson and
Katie Loken averaged just over 5 points per game. All-state honoree Kayla Evans will be tough to replace as a stat-stuffer.

Head coach: Doug Diehl
A good senior class can really make a team solid. Just ask longtime Natrona County coach Doug Diehl. The Fillies are led by three seniors:
Emily Robertson,
Abby Switzer and
Sarah Jones. Robertson was an all-state honoree last season, as the 6-foot-3 center averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. Shooting guard Switzer (5.4 assists and 2.9 steals) and point guard Jones (2.4 assists and 2 steals) make a great backcourt.

Head coach: Jessica Pickett
Everything starts with
Robbie Ryan. The senior is rated as the No. 20 point guard and No. 65 overall recruit in the Class of 2015 by ESPNW. The reigning Wyoming Gatorade State Player of the Year is headed to Arizona State next season after averaging 16.8 points and 6.8 rebounds as a junior. She helped lead the Broncs to a third-place finish at state, and has her sights set on that again. Sheridan will have to do with without Ryan's wing person, Dylan Wright. As a senior, Wright averaged 11.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Three-point shooter
Kaycen Townsend is back for the Broncs.

Head coach: Ramiro Candelaria
New coach Candelaria steps into a good situation. The Tigers made a run to state last season after entering the postseason with a sub-.500 record. Second-leading scorer
Maggie Justinak (8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds) is back, as is versatile senior
Stevie Hill (8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals), who was an all-state selection. Another senior,
Kenzie Kroupa, was sixth on the team in scoring a season ago at 3.5 points and also added 2.3 rebounds.
