Central Mountain put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Selinsgrove Seals. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Isaiah Maldonado made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Maldonado was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Blake Walker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Nate Wian also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Central Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Selinsgrove only managed six hits.
Central Mountain's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Selinsgrove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
