The Natrona County Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 56-33 defeat to Campbell County might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Natrona County in their matchups with Campbell County: they've now lost four in a row.
Campbell County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cami Curtis led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Curtis pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Kuhbacher, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Natrona County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Campbell County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Natrona County and Sheridan will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sheridan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Natrona County in Wyoming (Sheridan is ranked eighth, while Natrona County is ranked 41st). As for Campbell County, Campbell County and Arvada-Clearmont will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
