The Strasburg Rams had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against Clarke County as Strasburg made off with a 38-12 win. The result was nothing new for Strasburg, who have now won four contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Strasburg can attribute much of their success to Lucas Martinez, who rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Brayden Hough was another key contributor, rushing for 27 yards and two touchdowns.
Strasburg's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Hutson Conrad and his two sacks.
Strasburg's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points per game. As for Clarke County, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strasburg will face off against Madison County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarke County, they will head out on the road to face off against Luray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Luray is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
