The Genesee Wolves suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Bendle 85-51. Genesee has struggled against Bendle recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Genesee got some senior leadership from Aiden Croak and Conner Rouse. Croak scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks, while Rouse. dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 43.1% of Genesee's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Q Bannoura, who scored six points.
Elijah Boyd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bendle, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boyd has scored all season. Malis Firman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight assists and two steals.
Genesee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bendle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genesee will take on Deckerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deckerville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bendle, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Genesee at 7:00 p.m.
