Kaleb Pone Delivers Electric  Performance Vs Beddingfield
 Starting off the list is North Johnston's  Kaleb Pone, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pone rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 93 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 127  rushing yards.
 The  win was  the fourth in a row for North Johnston, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. A feisty cat fight will be fought when  Panthers challenges Goldsboro at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Izeiah Oates Leads Eastern Wayne over Spring Creek
 Eastern Wayne was led to victory by  Izeiah Oates, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Oates threw for 145 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  he has now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Spring Creek had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw  Oates it was a similar story. When  Oates last faced the Gators  back in October of 2023, he threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 56 yards.

  Traquin Watson put up the most  rushing yards he's  had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He forced a fumble and made eight total tackles. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made eight total tackles.
 Beddingfield had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw  Watson it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Watson saw the Bruins), he picked up  a  sack and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Underclassman  Teo Mcphatter Comes Up Big Against Goldsboro
 While it always takes a team to win, one person punching above their weight class  on Friday was  Teo Mcphatter. He turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
 On the season,  Mcphatter  has averaged 18.3 passing yards per game.
