Celina Blount was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with four blocks and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Brooke Asher was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Myka Richardson. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Richardson hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games.
Even though they lost, Fairfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakota East only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Lakota East is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Fairfield, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
