The Delavan Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Elmwood Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Delavan will be strutting in after a victory while Elmwood will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, it was close, but Delavan sidestepped ROWVA/Williamsfield for a 55-52 win. That's two games straight that Delavan has won by exactly three points.
Delavan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Horning , who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Brockhouse, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Elmwood pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wethersfield. Elmwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Delavan's victory lifted them to 4-1 while ROWVA/Williamsfield's defeat dropped them down to 4-2.
Delavan skirted past Elmwood 36-34 when the teams last played back in January. Will Delavan repeat their success, or does Elmwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
