After seven lead changes,
Windsor (Calif.) took the lead for good when
Colin McAlvain thew a touchdown to
Trey Tobon with 8:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Santa Rosa (Calif.) 37-28 on Saturday.
The Jaguars led 17-14 at halftime, but the Panthers recaptured the lead on a
Jahray Hayes touchdown run with 7:00 left in the third.
Windsor saw its 3-point halftime lead fall to two entering the fourth.
Santa Rosa's
Gabe Roque played well. The junior halfback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
McAlvain stood out for WHS in the win. He threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
The Jaguars also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 63-0.
Santa Rosa (2-5) will play a North Bay game against Montgomery next week, while Windsor (3-4) will take on Cardinal Newman also in a North Bay game.
